Why I Missed the Fireworks on New Years Eve

I know, I know: we’re already three days into the New Year and I have yet to post a single word about the Martini Bar Soiree, The Wedding Date or the bout of temporary insanity that lead me to believe an early morning “jaunt” along the river would be fun after 48 hours of non-stop revelry.

I blame the cheesecake.

And the martinis.

And the fact that I didn’t even notice the fireworks on New Year’s Eve because I was too busy dancing with a certain someone who actually enjoys running (hence the “jaunt”) when the clock struck midnight.

At any rate, here are a few photos to tide you over until tomorrow’s post:

A good time was had by all, now I’m nursing a sore throat, although we did the cleaning, the clearing and putting away will have to wait a day…as I look at the leftover bottles of wine (yippee) and the boxes of shakers, dishes that need to be returned to neighbors, etc. Happy New Year blog readers~I’m watching Netflix all day with my tea and miso soup.

I have to admit I am a bit more interested in the field work that occurs after the stilettos hit the floor, but that’s just me. For the record, my breath is actually baited, whatever that means, waiting for tomorrow’s installment.
