1) Little Kids (young thugs in training) decided to play Kick the Santa (instead of Kick the Can).
2) The outer door was opened by an unwelcome guest who was not let in, and who, in spite, refused to return Santa to his upright position.
3) Santa saw a cute potential Mrs. Claus across the street and in his effort to get her attention, tripped.
4) The mailman is on an anti-Santa kick (maybe his wife ran off with one?)
5) He was trying to join the Santa pub crawl, but couldn’t get rid of those apron strings.
Hah! All most excellent suggestions. Especially the bit about the mailman- I’ll be on the look out 🙂 My personal theory is that he brought a bunch of really nice, thoughtful gifts to a house full of teenagers and they were all like, “F*ck off, old man. We want iPhones” and he decided he just couldn’t take it anymore.

Yes, quite possibly! Although the poor guy was leashed to the house and couldn’t get a fair shot 😉
Rudolph wanted the throne for himself.
