First off, I apologize for the tardiness of today’s post. It’s raining today in the City of Brotherly Love and whenever it rains our internet connection goes all wonky.
Secondly, I’d like to give a great big THANK YOU to everyone who has come rallying to my defense in the wake of the Single Bridezilla segment and its aftermath. Your comments and encouragement (and willingness to go beat people up on my behalf) have been greatly appreciated.
Finally, I would like to let everyone know that I have finally stopped reading the Daily Mail. And just in case you were wondering, I will not be getting a nose job any time soon (or ever, for that matter); even if I did have excess funds lying around to put towards plastic surgery, I wouldn’t. (Spending tens of thousands of dollars on cosmetic surgery is, in my humble opinion, just as ridiculous as spending tens of thousands of dollars on a wedding.)
In conclusion, it has been a very, very long week and I’m still fielding calls from all sorts of production companies and reality TV casting directors but in the interest of getting this post up before the internet wonks out again, I’m going to sign off and go rustle up some lunch.
(Which I will probably eat while watching “Say Yes to the Dress” on Netflix if the rain hasn’t cut the signal again, but don’t tell anyone. I wouldn’t want those Bridezilla rumors starting up again…)
Have a great weekend, folks!

Always remember to insert the title of your post… 😉 That’s assuming 4229 isn’t the name of it.
It was all I could do to post the darn thing thanks to Verizon’s inability to provide internet access in the rain… 😦
You’re my hero, Kat! So proud of you! I’ve always thought the world of you, but this takes it to a whole new level. You have dealt with all this with such strength and grace. I honestly wouldnt have been half that brave and less have been able to make it into fun, witty posts. Kuddos
Thanks, Susi!
My question is: what girl/woman doesn’t dream of their wedding – or of meeting that one person that they want to spend the rest of their lives with?
I know I do. I know I have a pin board on pinterest entitled “someday” where I repin photos of wedding dresses, and pretty flower arrangements… I think that most women have a little bit of a “Single Bridezilla” complex whether they’d like to admit it or not deep down…
For me it’s not about wanting the party – it’s about wanting to find that person who will make me smile when I don’t want to and visa versa. But maybe that’s just me. Anyway, just wanted to throw in my two cents.
I’ve been a long time reader of your blog, and look forward to your updates every morning! You are a great writer! 🙂
Thanks for your two cents, Alex! And I agree, I think there are a lot of closet “single bridezillas” out there… it’s really not as crazy at people are making it out to be.
Goodness, Reality TV? Imagine the direction your blog (and your relationship) would take then!
I have– and I imagine it would be very, very bad! Interesting perhaps, but definitely bad in the long run, and now that I’ve met The Wedding Date, I’m not willing to risk it!
Your natural beauty will always be greater than any store-bought beauty that small-minded people desire only in order to shore up the insecurity of their minds and too-impressionable sense of self-worth.
Thank you 🙂
