Before and After Again: The Dining Room

It’s that time again: some before and after shots of my baby (by which I mean my house of course… pshhttt. Babies.)
The open floor plan was one of the main things that sold me on my house, but here are a few shots devoted specifically to the dining room.

My parents helped me get rid of the dropped ceiling, the carpet and the cute-but-fake Styrofoam “chimney”

Against everyone’s better judgement, I painted the floors because I didn’t have the time or funds to refinish them properly

Wow, you are doing such an awesome job with your home! And I’m still so excited for you getting your own home, even though you’ve had it for probably a year by now. That is such a huge thing and accomplishment and it’s looking amazing. 🙂
Thanks! The one year mark isn’t actually ’til September but it does feel good. Most days 🙂
Very chic and now that you have “kondo’ized” it will stay that way 🙂
We shall see… Technically I’ve only Kondo’d the bedroom but I’m attempting to work through my office and rest of the miscellany…
Loving it all! And it’s even better that you are doing it.. Fixed uppers are so much more fun an meaningful by the time it’s all done 🙂
Wow! What an improvement! I love the colors you chose!
Thanks! I was afraid they were too boring but I do like the way it all turned out,
Beautiful! I designed my bedroom like this a few years ago but with sandy colored carpet.
