Confessions of a Musical Sap

You know how there are some songs that just take you back?  I know, I know—I’m still only 26; the real grownups amongst you are going to want to smack me for even invoking the phrase “take you back”—but even in my limited years upon this earth I like to think I’ve enjoyed my fair share of soundtrack moments. In high school, A Thousand Miles by Vanessa Carlton was totally my song.  It probably helped that I was dating a boy from Montreal at the time. I used to sit around listening to that song and crying my eyes out and thinking how I really walk a thousand miles to see him if I could.  (Believe it or not, I was even more melodramatic back then that I am now.)
